Located on the outskirts of Rishikesh, Lakshman Jhula is a suspension bridge across the river Ganges&one of the iconic landmarks of Rishikesh. It is believed that Lord Lakshmana crossed the Ganges on jute ropes at the same placewhere the bridge is built. On the other hand, 2 kms. downstream from Lakshman Jhula, another iconic landmarkbridge named Ram Jhulais located. Constructed in 1986& situated in the heart of the city, Ram Jhula seems to be the lifeline of Rishikesh. With the backdrop of the Ganges& the Himalayan foothills, the views from these bridges specially during Sunrise & Sunsets are truly breathtaking.

Nestled in dense forests in the Himalayas, the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Nilkanth, an aspect of Lord Shiva. The shikhara of the temple is adorned with sculptures of various Devas and Asuras depicting the Samudramanthan. Neelkanth Mahadev in the form of Shivalinga is the presiding deity of the temple. The temple complex also has a natural spring where devotees usually take a holy bath before entering the premises. Situated at a height of 1330 meters,one can also enjoy the views of the city of Rishikesh from the temple.
